Weaver Green Anatolia Green Rug

Our Anatolia Green Rugs pay homage to the Anatolian designs that emerged from West Asia towards the end of the first millennium BC. Considered the birthplace of kilim weaving, these beautiful rugs celebrate traditional kilim design.

The design features the traditional ‘Bukagi’ and ‘Kurt Agzi’ motifs and offers a prayer for familial protection. The green and ecru colourway brightens darker corners and hallways whilst offering a classic bohemian design that looks great when paired with other rugs in the Silk Road collection. This beautiful kilim feels soft and drapey underfoot, is hard-wearing and made entirely from recycled plastic bottles.

A celebration of the ultimate weaving craft. Our Silk Road range uses traditional kilim weaving techniques to create rugs with unparalleled detail, durability and a lovely fluid drape. We marry these ancient techniques with our own contemporary yarn made from 100% recycled plastic bottles. Designed for maximum tensile strength and coloured with non-toxic dyes, our Silk Road rugs are luxurious to the touch, practical and incredibly durable, representing the absolute pinnacle of hand-weaving skill in what is becoming an increasingly dying craft.

Before washing, hoover loose debris from your rug (we recommend using a low suction setting without the brush function) or give it a good shake outside. Either hand wash with a light detergent or pop smaller rugs (up to the size 180cm x 120cm) into the washing machine on a 30-40 degree cycle using a non-biological washing detergent.

For larger rugs, we recommend using a commercial sized drum at your local launderette under the same temperature and settings.

Alternatively, take larger rugs outside to hand wash and hose down.

Our rugs emerge from the washing machine virtually dry, so simply hang on the line to fully air dry. Do not dry clean or tumble dry.

Microfibres

While the majority of our products are fully machine washable, we urge you to only do so when they really need it. This small step will significantly reduce the impact of microfibre shedding and prolong the life of your products.
