Easily adds flavour to:

• Sunday roast potatoes
• Creamy vegetable gratins
• Chicken wings
• Olive oil drizzled hummus

The more adventurous among us should try:

• Stirring into Greek yoghurt to use a marinade for carrots before roasting and serving alongside pitta breads and falafels
• Mixing into butter before basting corn on the cob, hot from the barbecue
• Stirring into mayonnaise before coating chicken thighs for a gently spiced marinade before roasting or grilling
• Stirring into tahini with honey, lemon juice and and a splash of water to drizzle over grilled courgettes and aubergines
